Cottage Description

Picturesque Waterfront 2 bedroom cottage with on deck hot tub plus 1 bedroom guesthouse with Sauna located on the shores of Portage Bay along the Montreal River in Coleman Township known for it's pristine waterways and expansive wilderness.
Location approximately 4.5 hrs north of Toronto.

The cottage has two bedrooms and a separate guest cabin. Inside the cottage, the master bedroom has a queen size bed and a 30" flat screen TV with DVD player so that you can enjoy your favourite movies there too. The other bedroom offers a set of bunk beds with a single over a double bed, perfect for the kids.

There is a 35 foot dock at the cottage that is suitable for a boat up to 20' feet long if you bring your own. If you don't have your own boat no problem we offer boat rentals as well.

A concrete boat ramp with a gradual incline eases your access into the water. Portage Bay and the Montreal River are known for great fishing opportunities that include catches of pickerel, northern pike, whitefish, small mouth bass and more. Catching large fish right off the dock is a daily occurrence and guaranteed fun for the kids.

SHORELINE
The cottage is located on Portage Bay off of the Montreal River. Entry is gradual to start but deepens for great swimming. The shoreline is a mix of stone and sand. A nice sand beach is located 500 metres away at the Portage Bay Lodge campground.

DOCKING FACILITIES
There is a 35 foot dock at the cottage that is suitable for a boat up to 20 feet long. The depth of the water at the end of the dock is approximately 5 feet (this can vary depending on weather/seasons). There is a concrete boat ramp with a gradual incline.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
Cottage is not designed for wheel chair access.

LIMITATIONS
Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults.

Pets are not permitted.

Unfortunately we do not permit "Parties" at the Cottage.

A Hidden Paradise!!

We have stayed at almost every local lodging & camping spot in the Tri-Town area, & this place by far exceeded our expectations. To begin with, the view is absolutely breathtaking. There were a total of six adults & two children, so we are used to stepping on each other's toes. However, this place was so spacious that everyone had their own space. We all slept very comfortably with the 2 bedrooms, plus guest cabin. The fact that we had a private sauna & hot tub at our fingertips just topped off our experience. We were able to dock both of our boats, with lots of room to still swim & fish right off the dock! The place was absolutely spotless, & came well furnished with all the utilities you need! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful affordable getaway!

BEAUTIFUL!

We stayed at this cottage twice now and will be coming back next year. The owners are incredibly nice and bend over backwards for their guests. The cottage is immaculate and the view is spectacular. The cottage literally has everything so we only bring our personal things and food. They even supply the fire wood for the bonfire. Other cottages we stayed at did not supply linens, toilet paper, paper towels and coffee etc., this cottage has it all. My family loves to fish and this lake which is actually a big river is awesome for fishing and boating. The area is beautiful and sitting in the whirlpool at night looking over the stars while listening to the loons is why we come back every year. The kids had fun too they have a playground and paddle boat and the raft is also a lot of fun. We can only recommend this place to anyone wanting to go north of the Muskoka's
